Provide direct management for the Quality Assurance Department, including QA Engineer (s), QA Administrator (s), CMM Programmers, Inspectors and Calibration personnel as well as NDT Inspectors
Manage and develop formal quality systems in compliance with ISO9001/AS9100 and customer requirements.
Manage internal audit and corrective action programs
Communicate and work effectively with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing and Logistics Leaders and their organizations
Communicate and work effectively with Customers, Suppliers and Auditors
Develop/implement/champion policies, procedures and processes that improve product quality, reduce costs and improve productivity
In concert with Purchasing Dept., maintain/develop supplier quality evaluation criteria, supplier audit and corrective action programs
Develop/implement data collection methods to support process improvements and track quality-related business metrics
Required Qualifications
Bachelor"s Degree in a related field or Associates Degree with equivalent on the job experience
Seven (7) plus years of quality engineering/quality assurance exp. in a manufacturing environment
Five (5) or more years of managerial experience
Aerospace industry experience
Customer service experience
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing across all organizational levels
Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems and implement practical solutions in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in MS Excel, Power Point and Word
