Rotating Equipment Engineer

PTS Advance has a great opportunity at a local refinery in Ferndale Washington.  We are looking for a season Mechanical Engineer with Rotating Equipment experience. Local candidates preferred, but all candidates will be considered.  This position will require relocating to Washington state.  Visa are not offered for this position.

Provides Technical support during in-plant and off-site repairs/rebuilds of refinery rotating following API standards. 
Identifies new equipment for purchase as needed following API, Refining Engineering Practices (REP), and company standards. 
Provide technical support for the vibration monitoring program and proactively involved operations, and maintenance planning groups in scheduling of equipment repairs.
Developing and maintain an effective preventive/predictive maintenance program for rotating equipment
Actively maintain the corporate Rotating Equipment Network efforts for knowledge sharing, developing best practices, and reviewing refinery standards
Willing to provide after-hour coverage and assistance during upsets, outages, and major equipment overhauls.
Leads refinery incident investigation teams for Root Cause Analysis and Latent Cause Analysis
Actively involved in expense and capital budget development promoting cost control and budget accountability within the team.  Completion of the PSM requirements for rotating equipment such as PHA"s, MOC"s, PSI updates, etc.
Overseeing of equipment and developing/implementing projects to improve reliability and long-range development of scope for major rotating equipment. 

Required skills:
Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering
10 + years of experience as a Rotating Equipment Engineer or Specialist in the Refining, Chemical, or Petrochemical industry.
5 + years of experience with rotating machinery, vibration analysis, trouble shooting performance analysis, performance condition monitoring programs, and centrifugal and reciprocating compressors.
Hands-on experience with new equipment installation and commissioning.
Working knowledge of GE/Bently Nevada 3500 Protection/System1 Performance Monitoring systems.
Sufficient understanding and knowledge of API and PIP Rotating Equipment Standards
Trained in Root Cause Failure Analysis or Latent Cause Analysis techniques.
