Project Controls Analyst

Our client is a major refinery in the Los Angeles area serving the fuel transportation and aviation fuel needs of the western United States. Operates an integrated network of strategic assets that creates and sells refined petroleum products, from feedstock acquisition to wholesale, commercial and retail sales outlets.  They are looking for a PROJECT CONTROLS ANALYST who has experience with cost, estimating and scheduling for their El Segundo, CA refinery.
 
Summary:
Our client is seeking a Project Controls Analyst to support the EcoSys Database Implementation.  The position will help migrate Project Controls data from the current database into the EcoSys database
 
Qualifications:
  • At least 5+ years of experience in Project Controls for downstream oil and gas projects required
  • Project Controls experience within a refinery/industrial industry required
  • Proficient in Primavera Software required
  • Proficiency in MS Suite required – Excel, Word
  • Understanding of cash flows, estimates, general understanding of project flows required
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with Engineering and field contractors
  • Candidates local to El Segundo area required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Accounting or Business with applicable cost and scheduling experience
  • EcoSys Software experience preferred
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manually inputting Cost, Scheduling and Estimating data in new EcoSys database
  • Trouble shoot any data transfer issues and work with the EcoSys team to get them resolved
  • Re- map WBS structure from new to the old structure for in-flight projects in the EcoSys estimate templates
  • Test Primavera schedule interface with the EcoSys database
  • Write local user guides/Project Controls guidelines for the database
  • Help correct any resource coding in Primavera Software to support the new system
  • Attend EcoSys core team weekly meetings
  • Help uploading field quantity trackers/cashflows for in-flight projects
