Supports production department through purchasing raw materials, production planning and inventory control.
Orders raw materials, issues purchase orders, supplier quality and control, maintains inventory, maintains purchasing documents, and produces work orders in accordance with sales order specifications.
Produces weekly production schedule for Lam, Shear, and Parts Department. Reviews the schedule during weekly production meetings.
Sustain Job boss (ERP) system maintenance. Enters data into manufacturing software from work orders and production logs. Maintains production log records and verifies jobs are completed with materials correctly applied to each work order.
Verifies inventory is correct by performing and entering cycle counts. Consolidate slow moving/obsolete inventory.
Required to produce vendor evaluation charts and present them at monthly management review meetings.
Ensuring plant Environmental standards, which includes Federal, State, and City regulations (Environmental Procedures, Stormwater, BEP's, trainings, Reports, etc.). May be required to work with outside environmental vendors that support training, documentation, and procedures.
High School Diploma and at least three years of related experience.
College Degree preferred.
Experience of Windows (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP software helpful.
Willingness and initiative to learn and understand Manufacturing processes, both on the line and in the computer system. This strengthens the understanding processes and material flow.
Employee must be able see, speak, hear, and may be required to walk or stand for long periods of time.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee generally works indoors but will be required to work in warehouse performing cycle counts and troubleshooting inventory discrepancies.
