Our client is a global provider of specialty gases and equipment.  They are seeking a Turnaround Planner with a Mechanical background to support an upcoming turnaround in Northern California.  This opportunity will offer REMOTE work option, but will require the individual to be onsite during the TA, and during other project critical instances.

REPORTS TO: Turnaround Manager

* Strong organizational, interpersonal and planning skills. Strong leadership abilities.
* Working knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes.
* Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
* Work requires working from heights, climbing fixed ladders, and stairs, etc.
* Ability to accurately perform other duties as assigned.
* Understands quality standards as outlined 

* Ability to manage execution and safety in a plant environment.
* Ability to read and understand P&IDs, ISO's, piping isometrics, fixed equipment design packages, and pipe specs.
* Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook), SAP.
* Experience with piping design and understanding of ASME B31.1 and ASME B31.3
* 10+ years' experience in maintenance and/or engineering disciplines, preferably with experience in industrial outages, exchangers, pumps, hydrotesting and pipe fabrication

* Field Job Planning
o Lead assigned portion of outage scope from planning through execution. Scopes will primarily be mechanical but may also include cranes, scaffold, insulation and logistics.
o Develop scope for assigned work orders within the outage, identifying secondary and/or support disciplines required.
o Create job planning packages for each work order for both internal and external distribution, e.g. bid events, contractor field personnel, etc. Packages may include pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, QC requirements, etc.
o Collaborate with team on contract bid package development.
o Create detailed planning activities including individual tasks, manpower, durations, and assigned discipline.
o Support Management of Change process, recognizing plant changes and following through on all documentation and recommendations in a timely manner.
o Assist in overall turnaround schedule development
* Field Job Execution
o Provide contractor field management in all outage phases for assigned contractors, including safety, timesheet verification, field oversight, change orders, and QC verification.
o Provide daily schedule updates during outage execution.
o Uphold and communicate high standards of housekeeping in assigned areas and on all job sites. Conduct frequent formal housekeeping inspections of plant areas.
o Complete close out and documentation as required.
